Am I a carer?

You might be a carer without realising it

Caring is not always something people plan for or put a name to. You might be supporting a partner, parent, child, relative, friend or neighbour.

If someone relies on you because of illness, disability, mental health, addiction or older age, Liverpool Carers Centre may be able to support you too.

I help with appointments, medication, shopping or paperwork
I check they are safe, manage or reassure them
I organise things or step in when they need me
They would struggle to manage as well without my help
