Local Solutions is inviting individuals, community groups and grassroots organisations to join a Community Empowerment Fund drop-in session on Wednesday 2nd October 2025, 1–3pm at Liverpool Watersports Centre.
The fund offers grants of up to £2,000 for projects that empower people, increase inclusion and make a positive difference in communities across the Liverpool City Region.
The drop-in will give people the chance to:
- Hear more about the fund and who can apply
- Speak directly to the Local Solutions team about eligibility and the application process
- Pick up paper application forms and get advice on completing them
- Hear from groups who received funding last year and learn about the impact it’s had
Hazel Brown, Head of Communities at Local Solutions, said:
“The Community Empowerment Fund is about backing the brilliant ideas that already exist in our communities. We know that local people are best placed to understand the challenges and opportunities in their area, and sometimes a small amount of funding can make a huge difference. This fund is designed to remove barriers and give grassroots projects the support they need to thrive – whether that’s a new group just starting out or an established initiative looking to grow. We’d love to see as many people as possible come along on 2nd October to find out how the fund could help bring their ideas to life.”
The fund is particularly aimed at individuals and groups with an annual income of under £20,000, and Local Solutions is keen to hear from people who may not have applied for funding before. Applications can be submitted online, on paper, by phone or in person, with support available at every stage.
