At Local Solutions, we deliver training that works in real settings. Our Learning & Development offer is built around the needs of people-focused organisations, where staff confidence, safety and skills matter every day.

Training is practical, relevant and delivered by people who understand frontline work. Sessions can be delivered on site at your organisation or at Local Solutions venues, as one-off courses or as part of a wider training programme.

First Aid (Adult & Paediatric)

Essential first aid skills for real-life situations.
6–7 hours

A comprehensive course covering first aid for adults and children. Staff learn how to assess incidents, respond calmly in emergencies and provide immediate care through practical demonstrations and hands-on scenarios.

Cost: £40 per person or £400 per group (max 12)

Emergency First Aid

Life-saving skills for smaller teams and workplaces.
3–4 hours

A shorter option for smaller teams or lower-risk settings. Covers essential life-saving skills including CPR, choking and emergency response.

Cost: £30 per person or £300 per group

Moving & Handling For Care

Safer moving and handling in care and support settings.
6–7 hours

Designed for care and support environments. Covers safe techniques, risk assessment, use of equipment and reducing the risk of injury for both staff and the people they support.

Cost: £40 per person or £400 per group

Fluids & Nutrition

Supporting hydration, nutrition and everyday wellbeing.
3–4 hours

Helps staff understand hydration and nutrition needs, recognise risks and support people with their daily routines to maintain health and wellbeing.

Cost: £30 per person or £300 per group

Catheter, Stoma & Nebuliser Awareness

Building confidence when supporting personal care needs.
4 hours

An awareness session to build confidence when supporting individuals who use personal care equipment, including good practice and knowing when further support is needed.

Cost: £30 per person or £300 per group

Blood Pressure & Oxygen Awareness

Understanding basic monitoring and when to take action.
90 minutes

Introduces staff to basic monitoring, understanding readings, recognising concerns and knowing when to escalate appropriately.

Cost: £15 per person or £150 per group

Career Coaching & Pathways

Supporting confidence, development and next steps.
