At Local Solutions, we are proud to be a charity dedicated to supporting individuals and empowering communities across the Liverpool City Region and North Wales. Since 1974, we’ve worked to provide practical support and create opportunities that help people overcome challenges and build brighter futures.
Every day, we work with people navigating some of life’s most challenging moments. Whether it’s a young person transitioning from care to independent living, a carer balancing their wellbeing with the needs of a loved one, or someone struggling with isolation, we are there to offer guidance, practical support and opportunities for a brighter future.
Over the past year, we’ve supported more than 37,500 individuals. We’ve delivered over 400,000 hours of care, ensuring individuals can live with dignity in their own homes. We’ve provided housing and emotional support to over 800 young people experiencing homelessness. Through community projects, we’ve helped reduce isolation, improve mental health and foster meaningful connections.
These achievements are only possible through the dedication of our staff, volunteers and supporters. We know the power of collaboration is key to driving change, which is why we’re excited to have been named one of Liverpool John Moores University’s (LJMU) Charity Partners for 2025.
This partnership marks a new chapter in our relationship with LJMU, providing opportunities for their staff and students to get involved in our work. Whether through volunteering, fundraising or supporting key events, such as the Lord Mayor’s Dragon Boat Race and our Big SleepOut, LJMU’s passion for giving back will make a real difference.
