Liverpool Watersports Centre played host to the annual Lord Mayor’s Dragon Boat Race – a lively day of team spirit, friendly competition, and fundraising on the waterfront.
The event brought together teams from local businesses, universities, and community organisations, all paddling for a good cause. Local Solutions was proud to both host and take part, with our own staff team joining the action on the water. Behind the scenes, our Liverpool Watersports Centre team helped deliver a seamless, high-energy event – once again showing the power of collaboration in action.
This year, all funds raised were donated to our AIMS project, which supports young people across the region to gain skills, confidence and independence.
Alongside fundraising, the event helped raise the profile of Local Solutions, strengthen key partnerships – including with Liverpool John Moores University – and shine a spotlight on the important work of AIMS. It was also a brilliant opportunity to showcase Liverpool Watersports Centre as a vibrant, inclusive space at the heart of our community work.
