We’re proud to share that Liverpool Watersports Centre, part of Local Solutions, has been shortlisted for Small Visitor Attraction of the Year at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards 2025.
This recognition highlights the Centre’s growing impact across the Liverpool City Region. It continues to open up access to the waterfront, create opportunities for people of all ages and show what community-driven tourism looks like in practice.
Every year, thousands of people take to the water through sessions at the Centre, from local schools and youth groups to families, visitors and community projects. Through activities such as paddleboarding, kayaking, open-water swimming and the popular Aqua Park, people build confidence, connect with others and experience Liverpool from a completely new perspective.
The Centre is about much more than adventure. It is about inclusion, wellbeing and opportunity, providing a welcoming space where everyone can experience the water, no matter their background or ability.
Being named a finalist is a proud moment for everyone involved and a testament to the lasting difference the Centre continues to make across the city and beyond.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at Liverpool Cathedral on Thursday 5th March 2026.
