The Community Empowerment Fund supports local people, grassroots groups and community organisations to bring ideas to life across the Liverpool City Region.
We know that some of the best ideas come from the people who understand their communities best. This fund is here to help those ideas grow, whether that’s through activities, events, support groups, creative projects, wellbeing work or something completely new.
Grants of up to £2,000 are available to support projects that make a positive difference to people and places across the Liverpool City Region.
We’ve kept the process simple, supportive and focused on helping good ideas happen.
Think about what your community needs and how your project could help.
Complete an application online, on paper, by phone or with support from our team.
Applications are reviewed by our panel, looking at need, impact and community benefit.
If successful, you’ll receive funding and support to deliver your project.
The fund is designed for people and groups who are rooted in their local community.
Every community is different, so we welcome a wide range of ideas.
Here are some examples of the community-led work supported through the fund.
Supporting a local boxing club to continue providing positive activities, structure and support for young people.
Helping people come together, build friendships and reduce isolation through regular community activity.
Funding practical, people-led ideas that create connection, confidence and positive change.
“This funding gives local people the chance to make something happen in their own community.”
